Choose demonstrable value
State what the space shows better than a conventional page, such as dimensions, configuration or circulation. If the scene adds no answer, its production cost and loading time need a different justification rather than a novelty claim.
Publish a readable alternative
Keep specifications, prices and conditions on a text page. Decisive information should not require moving a virtual camera. Provide images and descriptions for devices or users unable to navigate the scene. An alternative should support the same practical decision.
Test interaction and performance
Try keyboard, touch, narrow screens and limited connections. Check orientation, controls and return to the product page. Inspect whether media shifts the layout or blocks action; a smooth demonstration on a designer’s workstation is insufficient.
Maintain the representation
Assign model dates and owners. Retired references or changed configurations must be updated inside the showroom too. Explain what is representative and what requires confirmation before buying.
- Define value
- Build alternative
- Test controls
- Maintain
Worked example
Acceptance journey: compare two dimensions, change a variant, find the price and request information without using 3D. The alternative must remain complete rather than showing only an error message.
