Select representative pages
Include home, listing, article, form and error pages. Use long content that challenges components. A first-screen mock-up does not reveal broken grids or elements hidden further down the journey. Record content assumptions alongside viewport sizes.
Measure geometry
Check narrow and wide screens, overflow, clipped headings and media that shifts text. Inspect ancestors of an invisible element: presence in source does not establish visibility. Preserve tested dimensions with screenshots so another person can reproduce the observation.
Exercise interactions
Navigate by keyboard, submit invalid and valid forms and open important links. Animations should respect reduced-motion preferences. A control presented as an action should produce an understandable outcome rather than decorative feedback that leaves the task incomplete.
Keep acceptance repeatable
Describe observed faults and acceptance criteria. Repeat the same cases after modification. A short reproducible checklist provides more evidence than a general claim that a site is responsive and modern.
