Property listings: precise information that helps someone decide on a visit

A listing should help a reader decide whether a viewing makes sense. Accurate features, location and contact conditions matter more than a string of adjectives.

Separate facts and impressions

Give verified characteristics with units and sources. Floor area, distance and charges need clear definitions. Distinguish advertised area from other measurements and estimated travel time from observations. Neighbourhood adjectives should not conceal missing information.

Make reading and comparison practical

Use a distinct title for each property and a consistent structure: layout, condition, features, access and contact conditions. Photos should represent the listed property and have useful alternative text. A labelled plan explains layout without claiming to certify dimensions.

Maintain availability status

Identify unavailable properties. Do not reuse their URLs for unrelated homes. Offer explicitly labelled alternatives and retain necessary references. Avoid publishing identical listings through endless indexable filter combinations.

A four-step method: Facts → Description → Comparison → Status

Worked example

“Two-room apartment: layout and viewing conditions” can support a decision. “Incredible opportunity you must seize” says nothing about layout or viewing arrangements.
